The Ministry of Industry and Trade has introduced a bill amending the Federal Law “On Standardization in the Russian Federation”

The draft law “On Amending the Federal Law“ On Standardization in the Russian Federation ”has been submitted to the State Duma for consideration. Its main goal is to normatively consolidate the digitalization of work in the national standardization system. The vast majority of regulatory technical documents today are presented on paper. The transition to a digital model of the processes of development and adoption of national standards will increase the efficiency of the application and use of the “digital platform” created by Rosstandart (Federal State Budgetary Institution “Beresta”).

Also, the changes are aimed at improving certain provisions of state regulation in the field of standardization. Now it will be possible to include the standards of organizations and technical conditions in the Federal Information Fund of Standards, as well as clarify the procedures for the formation of project technical committees for standardization.

Recall that Bill No. 974103-7 was approved on May 18, 2020 at a meeting of the Commission of the Government of the Russian Federation on legislative activities.
